Creating Comic Strips
Comic strips are sequences of drawings arranged in interrelated panels displaying brief humor or forming a narrative. They are often serialized. Balloons and captions contain the text.
One of the first examples of a comic strip (in textile form) is the Bayeux Tapestry.
In the 19th century comic strips were published in newspapers. Some of the modern comic strips are serialized in comic book magazines.
Use of comic strips in school
Comic strips can be used in school to analyse them and to start a discussion about a certain topic.
Another possibility is that pupils can draw their own comic strips by hand. Of course, they can also use a programme to create a comic strip.
A very useful program: http://www.bitstrips.com
