Personal Evaluation of the Course
What I liked:
The content of the seminar was announced in the first session, i.e. the seminar had a clear structure. It covered a variety of different topics and nearly all of them were very interesting. In addition some of the topics were and are still very useful for future teachers. For example it makes sense to think about what kind of media equipment a school needs. Because of the expansion of new media and the Internet legal aspects become more and more important. New tools make things easier for pupils and teachers and thus can be used in class.
What I really liked was the field trip to the MLS where we could take a closer look at the school's media equipment. Working with interactive whiteboards, i.e.to try out what is possible with it and to create a teaching idea, is also very good since interactive whiteboards already exist in many schools or are expected to be purchased in the near future.

What I did not like:
I did not like the presentation "Die neuen Medien im Schulalltag" very much because it was overloaded with information and as time was running short the lecturer started speaking faster and faster. Maybe it is possible to invite a media expert or a representative of a well-known media school next time.
Overall, in my opinion, the pace of the seminar was too fast. Often there was no (or little) time to think about what was heard or seen and to try out new things in one's own time. The pace was sometimes even too fast to take notes. I propose that either the instructor shows what the students could do with the tools, or that the pace is slowed down and students are given more time to try out new things.
There were no accompanying materials like sheets of paper, a folder or online materials uploaded onto ILIAS and I also missed references to additional materials (e.g. books). But this would have been very useful!
Moreover, the creation of an E-Portfolio takes a lot of time and some of the students do not have plenty of time left because of the combination of their subjects (e.g. natural science and language). Maybe a reduction of the scope of the E-portfolio would help.
